The practice computer is registered
under the Data Protection Act and strict confidentiality is maintained.
All staff are bound by strict rules of confidentiality.
The practice operates a 'No Tolerance' policy in circumstances of violence or abuse directed towards GPs, health care professionals, staff or other patients. Any patient behaving in such a manner will be asked to leave the premises and, when necessary, the Police will be called.

Of Information – Publication Scheme
The
Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication
Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’
of information the practice intends to routinely make available.
Closed
Lists
Where
all the practices in the practice area have closed their lists, Cumbria Primary Care Trust will discuss with an Assessment Panel which GPs
they will allocate patients to.
Pharmacy
There is a pharmacy on the premises.
Out-of-hours times are by rotation with other local pharmacies and are published in the local press.

Procedure
If you wish to make a complaint or comment, please obtain a leaflet from reception explaining the procedure to be followed. If you do need to complain or express CONCERN this will not affect the level of care you receive.
