HOW DO I...

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Appointments may be made by telephoning our reception desk (01229 484050) or by calling at the surgery.

Routine Appointments

Routine appointments are 10 minutes long and held within normal surgery times. They may be made several weeks in advance, which will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time best suitable to your requirements.

Urgent Appointments

If your illness necessitates you to be seen before the next available appointment, the practice can see you as an urgent case at the end of each surgery. These urgent appointments can only be booked on that particular day. If an urgent appointment is requested you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice. Please note that time is short in these urgent appointment slots and we would be grateful if you could reserve using them for urgent problems only.
If you are unable to keep your appointment please let our Receptionist know as someone else can be given that appointment.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?

Most visits are undertaken after morning surgery. Requests for visits should be made, if possible, before 10.00am.

Home visits are reserved for the housebound and the terminally ill. If you feel you need a home visit telephone 01229 484050 for our Receptionist on enquiries; the doctor may wish to speak to you over the telephone. It will usually be much quicker to be seen in the surgery and also takes much less time for the doctor. Please make the effort to come to the surgery.

HOW DO I...
OBTAIN TEST RESULTS?

When you have a test taken you will be advised by the doctor or Nurse how long it will take to obtain the result. You are requested to telephone our Receptionist for the result, as we cannot routinely contact patients with test results. Please note no figures are given out by the receptionists.

Please phone for results between 2.30 to 4.00pm. Telephone 484050.
